Spooktacular activities to enjoy this October!
Are you planning Halloween activities for your students this October? If so, check out this list of Halloween activities for more ideas
1. Halloween costume dress-up
This is the perfect time of year to get your kids dressed up. Whether they’re going as witches, monsters or Elsa from Frozen, there are lots of cute options to choose from. Dress-up play allows kids to exercise their imagination, so whether they dress up as their favorite characters or create an entirely new persona, they’ll be sure to have fun!
2. Not-so-Spooky Story Telling
There are lots of Halloween picture books out there, and reading them with your kids can help them to develop their literacy skills.
3. Puffy Ghost Craft
- Download the puffy ghost template. You can also draw your own ghost!
- Cut out the ghost(s).
- Now let your little one have some fun with the glue. Glue the cotton balls on until the ghost is covered.
- Cut out eyes and mouth for the ghost from the black paper (or color them in with a black marker) and glue them on.
- If you want, you can tape some yarn or string to the back, and hang your ghosts up somewhere in your school.
4. Magic Potion
Place a teaspoon of baking soda in a small container (a mini witches cauldron works perfectly) and a few drops of food colouring. You could add a little water and washing-up liquid as well. When you’re ready to make your potions fizz use the pipette to drop a little vinegar into it.
5. Make Your Own Mummies
Divide the group into teams. Give each team several rolls of toilet paper and have one team member play the mummy. The other team members must wrap their teammate up as quickly as possible. The first mummy to be completely wrapped wins.
